Rubix CE: Cloud VPN
Installing the VPN service on a Rubix Compute
Important things to note before proceeding with the setup:
1. A Cloud environment must be provided / set up by Nube iO
2. The Rubix Compute gateway needs to be on a public IP (meaning the IP address is available on the internet)
3. You must have access to the router to setup some temporary port forwards
Step 1: Add the host with a with a public IP
To set up the VPN we need a public IP address and to make sure some ports forwards are setup on the router.
Port forwards needed:
- 1661
- 1662
- 1659
- 1662
- 1659
Once successful, click the 'update status' and then 'refresh' to see the controller's new virtual IP. Allow about 60 seconds for this process.
